Falling in love with new local museums

It's the new year, and love is in the air... so in the spirit of collaboration, my wife Hailey Payne Banks and I are creating a collage using our photographs and illustrations for the upcoming fundraising exhibition Fall in Love with MONCA II! Hosted by the new Museum of Northern California Art, the one day event will take place next Saturday, February 13 at the Habitat Lab in Chico, CA. Area photographers have been invited to exhibit photos depicting Northern Californian architecture, so Hailey and I photographed specific architectural features in downtown Chico including the signage of Senator Theatre and the arched hallway at Laxson Auditorium. We're creating a digital collage using details from the photographs and Hailey's illustrations, and are looking forward to debuting it later this week. Below is a detail from the collage in progress.
